Camp 807, 2009 edition

For the first time ever, the Atikokan Amateur Radio Club hosted Camp 807 on the August long weekend of 2009. Here are the highlights.

Where: Finlayson Resort; Atikokan, Ontario

VE3AKX, Vic, took participants on a tour of the now abandoned Steep Rock and Caland iron ore mines.

VA3RGA, Rick, cooked steaks for the Saturday feast.

Dawson (VE3FYN's harmonic) helped with the steaks.

VA3PDC, Paul, talks with Atikokan amateurs VE3PEJ, Jason, and VE3JSV, Paul.

VE3XT, Bill (RAC Director, Ontario North/East), won the QLF Competition, edging out the reigning champion VE3FYN.
